Mr. Sato's Earlier Life 2

Hello, I'm Kazu. On this blog I write about the true self discovery and about Mr. Sato who has developed various kinds of methods to enable people to awaken to their true self (their god nature inside) , as well as experiences of people who actually discovered it from my own view.

I'll continue the story of Mr. Sato's earlier days. At the age of 15, he left home for Tokyo metropolis on his own and started working as a dishwasher in a company's cafeteria. When he was 17, he took on a new challenge of working as a door-to-door salesperson. Then he dealt in merchandise of jewelry which cost more.

Around that time he had a life-changing experience!

He was 23 years old. One day he visited a Chinese restaurant to sell jewelry. There was a wife of the restaurant owner. Mr. Sato started to show his jewelry to her and offered description of items. She was listening with keen interest and just about to buy one. At that very moment they heard the door chime rung and another salesman called Mr.Yoshida from Toyota came in. The wife and the man knew well each other.

The salesman from Toyota cast a suspicious glance at Mr. Sato's business card and said to her, "I've never heard of such a jewelry company. Madam, you shouldn't buy such a valuable thing as jewelry from this young man who nobody knows. You have to buy it at a reliable shop."

As the man made a snide remark about Mr. Sato, it became obvious that the woman changed her mind. She said to Mr. Sato, " Maybe some other time."

Mr. Sato blew a fuse. As he was quick with his fist, he thought he would knock down this man outside. But Mr. Sato stopped short of doing it, and instead, he set another gaol for the day. It was to make this man to buy jewelry from Mr.Sato at any cost before the day was out.

However, Mr. Sato knew that he couldn't terrify this man into buying, so all he could do was to please this man so that he would trust Mr. Sato and buy his jewelry. Mr. Sato asked this man to take him along so that Mr.Sato could learn sales business from him. Mr.Sato controlled himself and did whatever he could do to please this man like lighting a cigarette and opening the door. Finally Mr. Sato went to this man's home with him.

Mr. Sato started to talk to his wife and daughter. He explained his jewelry to his wife. She indicated interest in it, but she was stubborn about buying it at first. As the woman started to make a bed at night, Mr. Sato nevertheless moved into high gear. He kept giving her a sale pitch.

Finally, at 11 at night Mr. Yoshida, the salesman from Toyota and his wife decided to buy a diamond ring that cost $4000! It meant that they finally trusted Mr. Sato, because they could choose cheeper one if they just bought it to oust him from their house.  Mr. Yoshida said to Mr. Sato, "I learned a lot from you. Thank you."

Mr. Sato was totally exhausted and tottered on his feet on his way back, but suddenly he realized an incredible fact! The same man who disrupted his job in the morning bought a $4000 ring at night. It really was a sensational episode to Mr. Sato.

What he realized was that exploring the market was not to explore new people or new places but to explore the mind and heart. It is our own mind that determined whether we can sell things or not.

Anyone can be a prospective customer if you explore yourself. He realized this important fact, and after that he enjoyed the sales and eventually became the top salesperson in his company.
